Feels like just yesterday
That we came to know each other
We didn’t know how to dribble
Yet we went for trainings together

Those trainings we had dreaded
Yet we lasted through it all
And every Saturday after that
We had always played bball

A table we had
Just for chicken rice
For us after playing penalty
And shouting a certain name thrice

When Mr Tan droned on under his favourite tree
We built gardens on court
For that and many other stuff
We received numerous pep talks

When we didn’t have a ball after school,
We used our shoes and they got stuck in the net
So we made friends with Mr guard
Who always lent us a ball after that

We loved playing in the flooded tracks
We loved playing bball rain or shine
We loved playing during our English exams
And if we played till late,
we climbed over the gates thinking it was fine
We played everyday after our exams
I don’t think we improved much though
And then we beat our seniors
And all we could say was whoa

We love to sing hymns and songs
And we did a lot of stupid things
Like watching nemo a few dozen times
And bathing after trainings

Throughout our years of countless trainings
We were always driven to work hard
We had the spirit, we had the dedication
It always meant much more than art

All our time and all our effort
Was put into our dream which we strived for
It was what we cherished, it was what we treasured
It was for what we were willing to give up everything and more

Bball gave us our joys and our hopes
Bball gave us the strength to strive for our best together
Bball gave us unity and the will to carry on
But most of all, bball gave us each other

Together we drove to achieve our aspirations
And we built our dreams with our 2 hands
We began to trust and count on each other
And we became the best of friends
Friendship is too mild a word
To describe what we have with one another
But what I know is in the past, the present and the future
We’ll be there for each other

We made bball our dream and our passion
It revolved around our lives
We dreaded trainings yet never missed it
It never occurred to us that we could escape with lies

They ask us why we do it
Why are we there?
Why do we love it so much,
Why do we care?

They don’t understand
How hard it was to get here,
How we went through disappointment
How we went through fear

How we went through injury
Serious or not
How we played through the rain
And when it was hot

And so I stand here
A smile on my face
I know we belong here
This is our place

So when people ask
Why I do this all day
I say because I love it,
I’m here to stay

What keeps us going
Runs through our every vein
Its our undying love
For this perfect game

how have all of your hols been?
well. mine was ALL good!
other than the camps,
trainings, outings etc.
i've got a NEW bedroom,
which i've just painted!
:D

anyways.
BASKETBALL CAMP was held last fri!
it was TOTALLY AWESOME! (:
although a lil depressing.
it was meant to be a farewell
thing for the sec fours too.

camp started off with training.
aileen came and joined us. she's
still as tall as ever! and she
has improved so much. tricia, val
and qibing arrived later.

had some icebreakers, before
lunch. mitch was my partner for
most of the games, including lunch.
the lunch game was super retarded.
everyone had a partner. so one will be
blindfolded,while the other's wrist will
be tied. mitch was blindfolded, and my wrist
was tied. we had to feed each other.

it was quite fun initially but later,
it got a little tiring. hahah!

after that, we had more games,
games.. GAMES! before we knew it,
it was time for bbq!
bbq was fun especially when
half the time, mitch, dawn, jen,
PINKY, carrie, maryanne, deb and i
just kept taking more and more photos!

after taking photos in the canteen,
we went down to the basketball courts
to lie down, and watch the stars (if there
were even any) HA. and the moon.
we then started taking retarded
photos at the basketball courts too.

ava room after that, where we watched
the farewell video. the juniors also
sang some farewell songs.

after our baths, we went back to
our room where the juniors started
distributing the presents out to
the sec fours.

everyone shed tears,
including those strong ones.
out of the many years in bball,
i must admit that this is one
of the few times i've ever seen
the team so bonded.

before we slept, we all watched
eye10. super retarded please.
its actually not scary but if
you are fortunate enough to sit
next to my PINKY, you will find
it scary. cos half the time, she
was screaming away.

it's her screams that makes it
scary! HAHA. love you PINKY! :D

the show ended about 3 plus.
was already tired by then.
PINKY slept on my left, whereas
deb slept on my right.
i tell you! never sleep with deb
cos she practically wakes you up
whenever you're about to fall asleep.
HAHAH. snatch my mogu all. hurr.
she's just crazy please!
hahahah.

anyways!
I JUST LOVE THE TEAM! :D
